Terms of Service
1. What JumpNow is
JumpNow is a marketplace that connects people who need a vehicle battery jump ("Customers") with independent individuals who offer jumps ("Jumpers"). JumpNow does not provide roadside service itself. Jumpers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of JumpNow.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. Jumpers must hold a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, and must be approved by JumpNow before receiving jobs. We may refuse or remove any account.
3. Pricing and payment
- A jump is a flat fee shown in the app before you request (currently $40). An optional on-site battery charge is an added fee shown at checkout (currently $25).
- Your card is authorized when you request and charged only after the Jumper marks the job complete. If no Jumper accepts, or you cancel before the Jumper arrives, the authorization is released and you are not charged.
- JumpNow keeps a 33% platform fee. The rest is paid to the Jumper through Stripe. Payout timing depends on Stripe and the Jumper's bank.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms.
4. Customer responsibilities
Give an accurate location and vehicle description, be with your vehicle or reachable by phone, and make sure you have the right to have the vehicle serviced. A jump or charge may not fix every battery or electrical problem; payment is for the service performed, not a guaranteed result.
5. Jumper responsibilities
Use safe, working equipment, follow safe jump-starting procedures, follow traffic laws, and treat Customers respectfully. Accept only jobs you can reach. You are responsible for your own vehicle, equipment, insurance, taxes and conduct.
6. Safety and risk
Jump-starting a vehicle carries risk, including damage to batteries or vehicle electronics and personal injury. Both Customers and Jumpers use the service at their own risk. Never use JumpNow in an emergency; call 911.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, JumpNow is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts of Customers or Jumpers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question.
8. Disputes and refunds
Contact support@jumpnow.app within 7 days of a job. We may refund a job at our discretion; when we do, the Jumper's payout for that job may be reversed.
9. Accounts and termination
Keep your login private. We may suspend accounts for fraud, unsafe behavior, or breaking these terms. You may delete your account at any time at /delete-account.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia.
