JumpNow Privacy Policy
JumpNow Pier2Pier ("JumpNow", "we") connects drivers who need a battery jump ("Customers") with independent people nearby who provide jumps ("Jumpers"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info: name, email, phone number and password (stored encrypted/hashed). Jumpers also give a home city or ZIP and a description of their vehicle and equipment.
- Location: Customers share the location where they need a jump. Jumpers who are set to Available share their location so we can show distance to jobs and assign them to the right metro area. We only use location while you're requesting a jump or set to Available.
- Request details: vehicle type, address, notes, and job history (time, status, amounts).
- Payments: card payments and Jumper payouts are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank numbers. Stripe may collect identity and tax information from Jumpers to send payouts.
- Notifications: if you turn on phone alerts, we store a notification token for your device.
- Device info: basic technical data (browser/app version, IP address) in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- To match Customers with Jumpers in the same metro area and show the distance between them.
- To share a Customer's name, phone number and location with the Jumper who accepts their request, and the Jumper's name, phone and vehicle with that Customer.
- To send job alerts to Jumpers by in-app alert, push notification and email.
- To process payments, the platform fee (33%), refunds and Jumper payouts.
- To review Jumper applications, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and keep the service safe.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
- The Customer or Jumper on your job, as described above.
- Service providers that run the service for us: Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, and our email provider.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we erase your name, email, phone, location and device tokens. We keep job and payment records without your contact details for up to 7 years for tax, accounting and dispute purposes.
Your choices
- Turn location, push notifications or email alerts on or off at any time.
- Delete your account any time at /delete-account, or email us.
- Ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it by emailing support@jumpnow.app.
Children
JumpNow is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption, hashed passwords and limited staff access. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
